A good teacher is the one who has the following characteristics
The teacher should:
1- create a healthy environment
2- Be interesting in the sense that he keeps interest alive and he knows what suits his students.
3- Be secure and confident
4- Be respectful: the teacher should respect his students and their knowledge.
5- Have a contagious enthusiasm for his teaching
6- Be creative
7- Add pace and humor to the class
8- Challenge learners
9- Be encouraging and patient
10-Know grammar well and can explain something ob the spot if necessary
11-Take a minute or two to answer a question after class
12-Treat the learner as a person, on an equal basis with all the members of the class, regardless of sex race…
13-Leave his emotional baggage outside the classroom
14-Take an interest in the learner as a person.
